A Dance with Our Daddy .....

The heavenly music is getting louder
Can you hear the sound?
Its melodious lines seem to captivate you
You seem drawn to it
But i called out and said
'Don't go yet, stay around here a bit more
I know it's not much but i sure would like it
If you'd stay for a while or so'

But the music continues to beckon
Your feet starts tapping into the rhythm
You said,' I'm starting to feel the music.
'Can you feel it too?'
With a cheeky smile on your face
You twirled and moved promptly to the beat
Moving further and further away

I called out ,' Don't go too far , I'll miss you'
You lingered for a while
But music started to fill the air
I tried to follow but it was too tough
You were dancing further and further away
I tried to see where you were moving towards
But everything was a blur

Fear started to grip my heart
'Where is she going? What if i never see her again?'
I have to stop her
Then i tried
I struggled to keep up to the beat so i can keep up with her
So i can keep her with me

I looked at her again
She was laughing , with a beautiful smile on her face
Enjoying each melody and harmony...
I felt bad... how can i stop her
She looked so happy now.. and contented

Then I saw Him
My Daddy... Her Daddy
Our Daddy....
He came and swiftly swept her off her feet
I heard her laughter ringing just like the sound of bells chiming
His strong arms started to carry her
Led her into a beautiful choreography

I was stunned
She no longer looked sad like before
Downcast and sorrowful
How could this be?
She is now dancing with our Daddy
Her head slowly tilted and she leaned on His chest
Peace was written all over her face
I could feel her heart, warm and contented
She's in better hands now ...

They danced and danced
Further and further away from my sight
I almost cried out to her
but she looked back at me once in a while
Smiling, almost as if to reassure me
That she's safe and joyful
As if to tell me not to worry

I thought to myself
This was a dance that i could not follow
Tears filled my eyes again
This time it wasn't tears of fear
It was tears of joy
To see her glowing and her beauty showing
ever so majestically.... like never before

Daddy then looked at me
a whisper came to me saying,
'She's with me now.. No pain,
no sorrow, no sickness can ever
touch her again......'
I cried again....
Peace rushed into my heart
I knew I had to let her go

I sat there and i watched
as She and Daddy danced and danced
till they were almost out of sight
Deep inside i knew
She is where she wants to be

She will have to wait
Till it's my turn to dance with Daddy
Then...i shall see her once again
Beaming and shining with glory
I shall wait for the beautiful day
When I can see her again
I will give her the biggest, tightest bear hug
And there, we can dance together
Throughout eternity....
